Mathieu Flamini had his heart broken yesterday. The Arsenal player was being interviewed after his side's 2-1 victory over QPR and was presented with the Man of the Match award... however it wasn't for him. The interviewer gave him the award to pass on to his team mate Alexis Sanchez, but Flamini didn't initially realise it.
His face beamed with joy as he collected the statue from Ray Stubbs, until Sanchez's name was mentioned. The French midfielder then looked around awkwardly, in apparent shock at the decision. Reports that Flamini scratched out Sanchez's name and kept the award for himself are unconfirmed. We just can't believe Flamini actually thought he'd played better than Sanchez.
