The Guardian are claiming that Manchester United will be ready to offload Robin van Persie at the end of the season in order to make a move for Edinson Cavani.
Although the Uruguayan has scored two less league goals in a lot more games than the Dutchman, reports suggest Louis van Gaal is lining up a £150m overhaul of his squad at the end of the season, with Van Persie being pegged as one of the few to get the boot from Old Trafford. LVG has reportedly been handed a megasaurus budget to play with in an effort to restore the squad to its past glories. Cavani is supposedly top of his shortlist.
With one star looking like he could be on the way to the red half of Manchester, it appears the Blues may lose one of their marquee players.
