The forward's relationship with Guardiola has been called into question after the pair became involved in a touchline bust-up after Muller was substituted during Bayern Munich’s 3-0 Champions League annihilation by Barcelona. The incident raised doubts over Muller's future at the club. Should he decide to leave the Bundesliga, Old Trafford may be a likely destination for Muller. The World Cup winner admitted he had a close bond with United boss Louis van Gaal, who gave him his debut at Bayern Munich, which could indicate that he is considering a move to Manchester. “It’s a secret for nobody,” Muller said. “Louis van Gaal and I have a relationship that goes beyond that which is normal between a player and a coach. However, I have a contract with Bayern until 2017.” The transfer saga of Paul Pogba looks set to drag on as Man City have kicked their bid to sign him up a notch. Manchester United might rue the fact that they let the superstar midfielder go to Juventus as he might potentially be joining their rivals this summer.
