Sir Alex Ferguson reveals the reason why Paul Pogba left Manchester United to join Juventus

Fergie has admitted he wanted to keep Paul Pogba at Manchester United, but the player's agent stopped that from happening.

Pogba, a former Manchester United academy player, has become one of the highest rated players in the world since leaving Old Trafford for Juventus in 2012. Some consider the French man's departure to the Serie A for the measly fee of £800,000 to be Fergie's greatest mistake as United boss, but Ferguson blames Pogba's agent Mino Raiola for the transfer.

“There are one or two football agents I simply do not like, and Mino Raiola, Paul Pogba’s agent is one of them. I distrusted him from the moment I met him." “We had Paul under a three-year contract, and it had a one-year renewal option which we were eager to sign." “Raiola suddenly appeared on the scene and our first meeting was a fiasco. He and I were like oil and water."

Ferguson then pretty much came out and said that Raiola convinced the French midfielder that Manchester United wasn't the right place for him.

“From then our goose was cooked because Raiola had been able to integrate himself with Paul and his family and the player signed with Juventus.“
