RVP headed for the Old Trafford exit, Moutinho to Arsenal and still no sign of Origi

According to the Independent Manchester United and Robin van Persie could be parting ways in the summer with Edinson Cavani and Thomas Muller in line to replace the Dutchman at Old Trafford. The former Arsenal striker has a year remaining on his current contract and will earn an extra €12m if he sees out his four-year contract. Van Persie has struggled with form and fitness this season and admitted last week: “Three goals in nine games is not enough. Against Chelsea I had a nice chance and I had three options: chip it, go round the keeper or just straight at the goal. I chose the last and safest. If I wouldn't have thought it over I would just chip it. I just have to trust again in my intuition.” (The Independent)   United may also finally be getting their midfield men with Juventus hinting that they could be willing to cash in on Chile's Arturo Vidal who has been mentioned alongside the Old Trafford club for too damn long. Juve chief Giuseppe Marotta has put the onus on the player to decide his future after saying: "It always depends on the player" "If Pogba and Vidal are happy to stay, then we will keep them." (Daily Star)   Joao Moutinho could be on the way to the Premier League but it might not be to the club you're thinking of. The Monaco playmaker has been linked with a move to Manchester United but it seems that the Gunners are favourites to land the Portuguese. Reports in Italy claim that Arsene Wenger sees the former Sporting Lisbon and Porto player as an ideal replacement for Mikael Arteta. It could cost the North London club over €37 to land the 28-year-old midfielder but with skills like this, he'd be worth every penny. The Merseyside club struck a deal with Lille to buy the Belgium striker with the caveat that he would stay in France on loan for the duration of this season. The lack of striking options available to Rodgers has led to many Liverpool fans calling for reinforcements but the Liverpool manager doesn't see an early Origi arrival as feasible.
