Former Liverpool and Germany midfielder Dietmar Hamann said "be damned" to national allegiances as he pulled on the famous green jersey for the evening.
Hamann saw his country upset by Ireland on a historic night at the Aviva and revealed to Shane Lowry that he was "Irish for the night."
