Jose Mourinho now has a worse record in his first 14 games as Manchester United boss than David Moyes. If that is not enough to send United fans into a shrieking panic, nothing is.
United lost 4-0 to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Sunday and are now six points adrift of top spot. They are five back from a Liverpool side they showed little ambition to Anfield last week.
A week is a long time in sport. While United were being lambasted for shutting up shop at Anfield, they have caused online ructions for failing to do likewise so spectacularly in London.
