While Sturridge's brace at the weekend, as well as his goalscoring ratio, would lead you to believe that Carragher isn't far off but it's a bold claim to make for a player who's injured more often than not.
We're hoping that the England international is able to stay fit for an extended period of time now that he's returned from his hip injury and signs from the Reds' 3-2 victory over Aston Villa show that Sturridge and Ings are going to work well together which is something Carragher believes could have a bearing on Christian Benteke's selection.
"Sturridge is finishing and deserves the accolades, but a lot of it is coming from Danny Ings. He's pressing people, running in behind them and making the game quicker.
