David Moyes’ tactics for Liverpool at Anfield suggest he was never going to make it as Manchester United boss

"Attack, attack... attack, attack, attack!"

You can bet your ass David Moyes still hears those frustrated incantations in his sleep. He arrived at Manchester United in 2013 as 'The Chosen One' and did not last a season. The writing was perhaps on the wall when Chelsea arrived at Old Traffod, early in Moyes' tenure, and played a 4-6-0 to get an away draw. The game ended 0-0 and Moyes looked pretty pleased with himself, seemingly unawares that Jose Mourinho was giving a clear message to Roman Abramovich that he needed at least one new striker before the summer transfer window closed. Still, at least United didn't lose... Mourinho is now United boss and Moyes is attempting to drag Sunderland out of their annual stint in the relegation mire. A 3-0 win over Hull City, last weekend, helped up Liverpool are up next. Wouldn't you know it, Sunderland must face them at Anfield. Moyes just can't catch a break. Buoyed by the recent league win, no doubt, Moyes straight up revealed his tactics for the upcoming game. He told reporters:

"They’ve always had really good teams, Liverpool. We’ve been competitive away from home and close to winning games. "We will go there and make it difficult for Liverpool. Anybody who plays against Liverpool has to park the double-decker bus, but we also have two centre forwards scoring goals."
