We’re getting a runny nose just looking at this.
Connacht kicked off their European Challenge Cup campaign in style in Krasnoyarsk on Saturday morning with a solid 14-31 win over Enisei-STM.
Pat Lam’s side made the 6,000 km trip for their tournament opener and were greeted by what must have been some of the harshest weather conditions they’ve ever played rugby in.
While the -17 degree temperatures might have been somewhat bearable for the players on the pitch, Connacht’s substitute’s bench did not seem to enjoy the weather at all. The bench did look a bit like the world’s most depressing sleepover.

In fairness, how could Connacht expect to cope with the bitterly cold weather when even the home side’s substitutes had to resort to wearing blankets?
