It’s not everyone’s favourite anthem, but the Ireland fans in the stadiums at this Rugby World Cup have certainly taken to it.
There weren’t as many fans in the converted athletics stadium as the number that roared out “Ireland’s Call” at Wembley last week but they still belted it out at the Olympic Stadium ahead of this afternoon’s vital Pool D clash with Italy.
The Italy anthem, as always, was sang with gusto by Sergio Parisse and Co. The scene was well set for a cracking match.
