WATCH: 19-stone Georgian prop takes flight for glorious ‘Ash Splash’

Poetry in slow moton

Patrick McCarry

We’d love to see Mike Ross get a chance to do this against Italy this weekend.

There is no better sight that a tighthead in full flight.

These marauding hulks of the rugby pitch are usually seen lumbering between lineouts and scrums but the odd few have notions. Glorious notions.

One such hero was Brive prop Anton Peikrishvili. The Georgian ran a superb support line and was in the right place at the right time for an offload.

He monstered the last remaining Bayonne defender and still had the energy to pull out his own take on Chris Ashton’s ‘Ash Splash’.

Beautiful.
