VINE: George North knocked out again-this time by a shin to face

Not Again?

Kevin McGillicuddy

This is a major worry for the Wales man

George North is an incredibly talented rugby player but his health must be a serious concern after yet another incident involving concussion tonight for the young Wales player.

The Northampton man was in action against Wasps’ tonight in the English Premiership when he was put in for as try in the corner.

Just as he was about to touch down Nathan Hughes ploughed into the 22-year-old’s head with a combination of his knee and shin, and knocked him out cold.

The referee was very quick to reach for a red card for the sickening collision and Hughes can really have no complaints. There is two angles to the incident and we’re not too sure which is worse:

Hughes did attempt to slow down and is probably a little unfortunate to collide so heavily with North’s skull but surely medical protocols will ensure that North is given some much needed time off to try and recover from another very serious incident.
