Yoann Huget is a very very lucky man
No action replay and the referee missed it.
The only person who seemed to really know what happened in last week’s Top 14 clash between Bordeaux Begles and and Toulouse are Huget, and the man who’s face he ploughed his boots into, Jan Andre Marais.
The fullback was making his way towards the Bordeaux line when he lashed out with his foot right into the face of the lock on the ground.
Bizarrely Huget then shows concern for the player with a friendly pat on the shoulder before continuing with the game.
So far Huget has escaped without any sanction or any citing so it can only be assumed that everyone concerned felt it was an accident.
If this is an accident I’d hate to see what intent is like.
