Munster A captain trying to balance sport with study
We’re long past the point of ever getting close to the life of a professional athlete at this stage. Truthfully we were never close.
Being honest looking at this video from Munster about the life of ‘A’ team captain Jack O Donoghue we’re not sure we’d be able to hack it. We just love lazy Tuesday afternoons too much.
So we have serious respect for the Waterford native who is not only playing for the Munser A side but has also made his senior first team debut as well as keeping up his study in college in what sounds like a very difficult chemistry course.
The back row has scored three tries in seven Pro12 appearances while he’s also represented Ireland at various levels at underage so he’s certainly one to keep an eye on.
With all those commitments how he gets time to polish the guns in the gym is beyond us, and we imagine O’Donoghue’s scenario is something that academy players in the other provinces could relate to.
