It beats a trip to Newport anyway.

Connacht yesterday evening undertook the longest journey in European club history for the Challenge Cup opener against Ensiel-STM.

We already brought you news of Jack Carty and Bundee Aki’s ballsy decision to wear shorts when they touched down in Siberia this morning, but they have since done a spot of training, alongside some tiny wrestlers in a gym, and released a video outlining their epic journey.

In fairness it looked like some needed to warm-up.

Judging by Johnny Muldoon’s garb this was achieved.

Watch the video below, which features some handy travel hints if travelling to Siberia.

  1. Bring the farming supplement to read.
  2. Stand up chatting on the aeroplane for long periods.
  3. Refuel in Moscow if you want to get all the way to Krasnoyarsk.
  4. Bring your own post protectors on the bus.
