It’s only a matter of time.
With such a large population of athletes, if America decide to turn their attention to a sport, they can take it over. They are starting to show big signs of improvement in football, and rugby sevens has proven a success too, with the US team winning the London Sevens on the IRB World Tour this year.
Flying wing Carlin Isles was first discovered after the American sevens team posted a video of him online, and they might have found a similarly devastating attacker in Brendon Curle.
Granted, the defences don’t look particularly hostile in these clips, but Curle still shows magical feet here.
Is he a ‘rugby prodigy’, as the video suggests? Unlikely, but if nothing else, he is probably a savage dancer.
