The pool available to the Kiwi has been further reduced today by the news that Paddy Jackson is sidelined for at 10-12 weeks with a banjaxed elbow.
It looked bad when he left the field in Toulon on Saturday but today brings the news that confirms his absence from the 2015 Six Nations.
‘Paddy Jackson suffered a dislocated elbow in Saturday’s defeat to Toulon at Stade Mayol. A scan yesterday revealed that he has an unstable joint and that he will require surgery. He is expected to be out of rugby for between ten and twelve weeks.’
Ulster have also reported an elbow ligament problem for Stuart Olding, with the exact same prognosis, 10-12 weeks on the sidelines.
