Jacob Stockdale and Peter O’Mahony were the only two players to make rugbyjoe’s team of the round following round three of the Six Nations.
Ireland trudged their way to a 26-16 win over Italy on Sunday with tries from Quinn Roux, Stockdale, Keith Earls and Conor Murray ensuring that Joe Schmidt’s side escaped from Rome with a bonus point win.
It was a disappointing performance from Ireland who stay in contention with leaders Wales and England.
Wales moved to the top of the table with a eight point win over England in Cardiff with Warren Gatland’s side earning seven selections in our side with Rob Evans, Cory Hill, Alun Wyn Jones, Dan Biggar, Hadleigh Parkes, George North and Liam Williams all nominated.
Meanwhile England flanker Tom Curry was the sole selection from Eddie Jones’ side who were narrowly beaten in the Welsh capital while Guilhem Guirado, Demba Bamba, Antoine Dupont and Matheiu Bastareaud were also selected following France’s win over Scotland last weekend.
