Jamie Heaslip is holding no grudges against Pascal Pape for a knee to the back that has ruled the Irish number 8 out of action for up to a month.
The Leinster man suffered broken vertebrae in the 53rd minute of Ireland’s victory over France on Saturday and is set to miss Ireland’s next Six Nations outing, against England on March 1.
But Pape, who received a yellow card for the act, reached out to Heaslip on Twitter this evening and the Irishman accepted the apology.
@pascalpape Merci pour votre message.Le rugby est un joue physique et on accepte que ça peut se passer.Je accepte complètement vos excuses.

Pape’s tweet translates as: “Sincerely sorry to have hurt @jamieheaslip with this play, did not at all intend to hurt him. #objectivityforsome”
Heaslip responded with: “Thanks for your message. Rugby is a physical game and you have to accept that it can happen. I completely accept your apology.”
Best buds!
