WATCH: Tributes from the likes of Rory McIlroy and Niall Horan pour in for 100 cap hero Rory Best

That's a solid fan club

It’s not often we get to mention Niall Horan, Carl Frampton and Rory McIlroy in the same story but it’s not every day that a legend is guaranteed an honour like 100 caps for Ireland.

With the team announcement for Ireland’s final test of the November series, against Australia, Joe Schmidt’s captain Rory Best is set to join an exclusive club.

Only Brian O’Driscoll, Ronan O’Gara, Paul O’Connell and John Hayes currently find themselves in triple digits for the national side but that list is about to receive another name when Best takes to the Aviva pitch on Saturday evening.

The Ulster hooker made his international debut in 2005 and has gone on to claim three Six Nations championships, two Triple Crowns and a Grand Slam in his time in the green of Ireland.

The honour of joining the 100 club is not lost on Best’s rather famous fan club which boasts the likes of World Number 2 Rory McIlroy, One Direction’s Niall Horan, WBA featherweight champion Carl Frampton and Southampton midfielder Steven Davis.

Not too shabby, eh?
