Dislocation of fingers and other joints is fairly common in rugby.
The shape of the ball, as well as the insane physicality on show every time players cross the whitewash means incidents of dislocation are fairly common.
Thankfully medical personnel are well equipped to deal with the issue and rugby players are usually tough men who can deal with the pain.
But you don’t often see players at any level asking team-mates to ‘pop’ the troubled joint back into place like Juan Imhoff did this afternoon.
The Argentina international is featuring for his country’s Sevens side in the weekend’s action in London when he suffered the injury against France today.
He called over a team-mate to help re-set it, which is probably not best medical practice.

Juan Imhoff dislocates finger, gets teammate to try to place it back so that play can continue. Sanity prevails and physio does the job.

The game restarted and then Imhoff took possession, and ran for the line, despite his bandy finger.
