This picture just won sports photo of the year in Australia

Strangely enough, the winner an Australian competition for photo of the year is of a New Zealand sporting tradition.

Converting an image to black and white really classes it up, eh? This stunning photo of the New Zealand Rugby Sevens team performing the Haka after winning the 2014 Hong Kong Sevens Cup Final has picked up a major award in Australia. The photo by Cameron Spencer entitled "Rain  Dance" took home the best Sports Photography Award at the ASC Media Awards. It really encapsulates the cathartic release felt by the players moments after winning the major tournament against England. What an unusually haunting image.
