This looks like a tighter squeeze than being at the bottom of a ruck.

The Ireland rugby side are on World Cup countdown ahead of Saturday’s opener against Canada but they may not have made it there at all if two Aer Lingus air hostesses had their way.

The Irish team left Dublin airport on Wednesday evening with everyone safely tucked abroad for the very short hop across to Wales.

But before the lads made it to the runway there was a very very tight squeeze in a lift in the bowels of Dublin aiport.

Lianne Stapleton took this snap of Rob Kearney, a snarling Johnny Sexton, Sean Cronin and Paddy Jackson before they got aboard with Lianne telling us that she and her colleagues just had one wish:

“We were hoping this lift got stuck ?”

We have a feeling that there would be more than few Irish women who would be praying the same thing might happen to them if they were in a simialr situation.

Thanks to Lianne Stapelton for sending this our way. If you have something you would like to share with us, send it to editorial@sportsjoe.ie or hit us up on Facebook and Twitter
