We have seen this before and it warmed the cockles of the heart that time.

Rugby players push ambulance out of soft ground. Seemingly it is a story as old as time, or rugby and ambulances at least.
But this time it is Irish schoolboys, not Italian men, springing to the aid of their stricken team-mate, this time it is pupils of Sean O’Brien’s alma mater being heroic and afterwards returning to their match and getting the job done.
In other words, this time it is infinitely better.
The assistant coach of Tullow Community School’s junior rugby team, Michael Byrne, got in contact and outlined to SportsJOE exactly what happened in Carlow on Thursday afternoon.
“Me and the rest of the team found out that the ambulance carrying our injured flanker Paul Lyons got stuck on the training pitch while we were playing on the other pitch.
“He was carrying the ball when he got tackled and landed badly on his knee and dislocated it on impact. So when we heard it got stuck we ran to our friend in need and after about five minutes we got it back on the road.
“After this we went on to win 26-14 and he was our motivation.”
Here is hoping Paul can recover from what sounds like a very painful injury and get back on that soggy training field soon.
He has some good team-mates there, the Tullow Tank would be proud.
