10 games to become legends
It might be two years away, but the preparations for the next Lions Tour are underway in earnest after the fixture list for the next tour was revealed.
The British and Irish squad will travel to New Zealand in the summer of 2017, and they will take on the All-Blacks twice in Auckland and once in Wellington.
The Lions haven’t had a success against the Kiwis since 1971, and were hammered in the series 3-0 the last time they went to New Zealand in 2005 when Brian O’Driscoll captained the side.
The opening game of the series will be in Whangarei at the start of June, and the tourists will play six games before the first Test on the 24th of June at Eden Park.
The schedule also includes games against all of New Zealand’s Super Rugby teams and New Zealand Maori, with all midweek fixtures on a Tuesday apart from one.
