Today the rugby community marks the memory of a true giant of the game – the late, great Anthony Foley.
The legendary number 8 was a Munster man through and through. He fulfilled his dream of wearing that iconic red jersey, becoming their leader as a player before taking the helm as a coach.
Foley passed away unexpectedly in Paris last weekend from acute pulmonary oedema caused by a heart condition and the rugby world has been in mourning ever since.
A week later, Munster returned to the field to take on Glasgow Warriors in the Champions Cup in at Thomond Park. Ahead of kick-off, Sky Sports aired a fantastic tribute to the Munster legend featuring interviews from former teammates, highlights from his storied career and quotes from the man himself. Whether you’re a rugby fan or not, this is lump in the throat stuff.
