Six Irish players have been selected in Midi Olympique’s Six Nations team of the week following their 26-14 win over France on Sunday.
The win keeps Ireland’s Six Nations hopes alive ahead of this weekend’s trip to Cardiff to face Wales with Joe Schmidt’s side registering their first real dominant performance of the tournament.
Jordan Larmour, Garry Ringrose, Johnny Sexton, Conor Murray, CJ Stander and Tadhg Furlong were all nominated to the side with Sexton scoring a try and adding three conversions in the victory.

Man of the match James Ryan was omitted from the team, with Midol ultimately preferring George Kruis and Alun Wyn-Jones to the Leinster lock, but the talismanic second-rower said that plenty of the Irish players went straight into the ice bath’s after a bruising encounter at Lansdowne Road.
“I’m sure they do [have momentum],” Ryan replied when asked about Wales’ Grand Slam bid.
“What can we do to counteract it? I think we can control what is in front of us this week. Recovery is massive for us with the six-day turnaround.
“There’s plenty of guys in the ice bath already and I think the next 24 hours are really important in that regards. From there we’ll hit the ground running on Tuesday and work on a few things that we could have been better at there and hopefully bring that to Cardiff.”
