Rugby HQ is selecting its best ever red-head XV and needs your help

We can think of a couple

Patrick McCarry

We reckon Ireland could supply a player or eight to this line-up.

Australia’s Rugby HQ are putting together an all-time greatest XV of players lucky enough to have red hair.

The television show, which regularly produces great clips and interviews from the Southern Hemisphere rugby sphere, has put out this call:

A few weeks ago, on RugbyHQ, we were talking about some of the great red-heads to play the game and decided we’d put together the best Redhead XV of all time.

Ed Sheeran is providing the pre-game entertainment, Prince Harry is the patron.

We have a start with the Melbourne Rebels’ Nick Stirzaker at 9 and former Hurricanes lock Paul Tito should get a start in the second row. We’d love you to help us out with your suggestion for the Redhead XV.

If you have any suggestions, send a tweet to Sean Maloney or any of the gang Down Under.

Here are a few ideas:

Paul O’Connell [Munster, Ireland, Lions, man, captain, inspiration, legend]

Bernard Jackman [A late bloomer but finished his Leinster and Ireland career on a high]
