Rugby fans have started an online petition to remove Paloma Faith’s version of the RWC anthem

Sports tournaments really don’t need anthems.

There’s never a necessity for sport and pop music to cross paths and the results of official songs are more often than not atrocious.

And in this modern world where there’s an online petition against pretty much everything that takes place, the 2015 Rugby World Cup anthem has gone down like a lead balloon.

World in Union is sang at every World Cup and has been sung by songstresses like Shirley Bassey and Hayley Westenra in the past but Paloma Faith’s version in particular isn’t going down well with supporters.
