It’s not much of a break for the only man to start all five of Ireland’s Rugby World Cup matches.
According to his Instagram account, Jamie Heaslip returned to work at Leinster today – llittle over a week after the quarter-final defeat to Argentina.
While the 31 year old is unlikely to feature against Treviso in Italy this Sunday, his new head coach at Leinster, Leo Cullen, may wish to give a hit-out to the Number 8 and the rest of the Ireland contingent against Scarlets on Friday week, before the opening Champions Cup clash with Wasps on November 15th.
Considering the Ireland players were in camp since the end of June, a week’s break before clocking back in with your province seems pretty short – but at least the Ireland captain got away to New York for a few days.
