Yesterday’s game between Ireland and Wales could have been described as all of the above but ask some of the players involved if it felt like a warm-up.
Ireland suffered several injuries during a highly physical 16-10 defeat at the hands of the visitors, who came off nursing a few wounds of their own if Dan Lydiate’s face is anything to go by.
The flanker was pictured by team-mate Ross Moriarty after receiving two different sets of stitches to his face.
