Just the sort of front page we wanted to see today
So, how are you feeling the morning after the day before? Yeah, us too and while we might be a little tired because of our celebrations, we have a big stupid grin on our faces we just can’t get rid of.
Sure, it wasn’t a free flowing classic but Ireland’s ruthlessly efficient dismantling of England at Aviva means Joe Schmidt’s side are the only ones with a shot at the Grand Slam now and that is exactly where we wanted to be with two games to go.
Of course, we are always interested in how the UK media sees us, especially after we beat them, and as we wrapped up here yesterday, they were universal in their acclaim for Ireland’s performance.
Now we wake up to the front and back pages and the Telegraph cover is the one that makes for the most pleasant viewing on this bitterly cold morning.
