Sorry, Ted, I was looking at it upside-down.
Toulon clinched a historic third European Champions Cup in succession this evening at Twickenham but the celebrations weren’t bathed in red as you’d expect.
The French club beat fellow French club, Clermont, 24-18 in the showpiece in London and, even though it wouldn’t have detracted one bit from their celebrations, there was a bit of a gaffe in the organising it seems as blue and yellow ribbons shot from the cannons to drench the victorious Toulon team.
They would’ve looked alright descending on the Clermont side – seeing as it’s their colours and all that – but it just didn’t look right coming down on the Toulon players.
Always stick with gold. You know where you stand with gold.
