Munster have come in for some lavish praise from Ireland’s most-capped player.
Things couldn’t be going better for them at the moment.
With seven wins on the bounce, the southern province are full of confidence heading into this weekend’s clash against Leicester Tigers at Welford Road.
There is a decorated history between the sides, the Tigers were the first team to inflict defeat on Munster in Thomond Park during European competition.
Munster, however, can look for revenge of their own this weekend. Leicester have never lost back-to-back European games at Welford Road since the concept was brought in back in 1999.
To do this though, Munster’s defence will need to be on top, something which it has been for the majority of the season and has majorly contributed to their excellent form.

Their impressive defence hasn’t been lost on Brian O’Driscoll.
Munster achieved a remarkable tackle success rate of 98% in that game against Leicester at Thomond Park and O’Driscoll had the following to say on that statistic.
“In my 15 years of rugby I have never seen something like that,” he said on Off The Ball.
For someone who has played 327 matches between representing Ireland, Leinster and the Lions, that is a damn good affirmation of Munster’s recent success.
Long may it continue.
