Mike Ross sums up how bloody lucky we were to avoid Fiji at the World Cup

Sums it up perfectly

Mike Ross has made a brilliant point tonight.

The Irish prop, who’s gearing up to take on Italy this Sunday in Group D of the World Cup, was clearly among the rest of us tonight who was wowed by Fiji’s close shave with Wales.

The Pacific island nation almost pulled off a massive shock but in the end Warren Gatland’s side just had enough to secure a 23-13 win.

But the outstanding feature of the match was the incredible pressure Fiji put on the Wales scrum time and time again.

Already this World Cup we’ve seen how powerful they are when packing down and this evening was no exception.

And Mike Ross spoke for every Irish person when he tweeted this during the game

We’re sure the Leinster man wouldn’t have fancied fancying down the Fijians at scrum time. Or any Irishman for that matter.
