It didn’t take John Cooney long to get settled in Belfast last season.
The former Leinster scrum-half quickly acclimated to life with Ulster and filled the boots of Ruan Pienaar about as well as anyone could have hoped.
Cooney won the Ulster’s Player’s Player of the Year award and immediately cemented himself as a favourite with the fans too by picking up the Ulster Rugby Supporters‘ Club Player of the Year.
Shelbourne Motors were quick to capitalise on his rising profile in the north and teamed up with him to produce a series of trickshot challenge videos.
Doing my finest Bane impersonation for #trickshottuesday with @shelbournemotorsni 😂. This is a warm up I like to use to help with striking the ball cleaner. Try it in your kicking warm up or challenge a mate 👍 it’ll be trickier next week #shelbournemotors #renault #meganRS280 pic.twitter.com/8EJkJWJnnN

Fellow Ireland internationals Jacob Stockdale and Stuart McCloskey were big fans of the series and were seemingly disappointed that another episode was not forthcoming this week.
Fresh off a clean sweep of the November internationals, the pair returned to training this week to have a crack at their own version and it certainly didn’t disappoint.
