We’re not supposed to be panicking until from 2.45pm onwards.
But Ireland fans watching the build-up to Grand Slam Saturday on TV3 probably started having heart palpitations when they saw their pictures disappearing.
Virgin Media Ireland customers tuning in to watch coverage of England v Ireland from Twickenham were left scrambling when the service confirmed they were having some problems.

In fairness to them, they made a quick decision to make the coverage available live on TV3+1.

For such a massive game, at such a critical time, we can only imagine the chaos engulfing the Virgin Media Ireland offices at around 2pm on Saturday afternoon.
They were able to find a quick solution though and viewers can sit back and enjoy the game. Who are we kidding? Nobody will be sitting back and relaxing for this game!
if you are a virgin media customer with a set top box & not receiving TV3 for the rugby, just pull the lead out of the box, bypass it, plug direct into the TV & scan for channels on the TV, you will get a good few channels inc TV3. #Rugby #6Nations #ENGvIRE #Virgin #TV 🇮🇪🍀🇮🇪

😓 So sorry Ruiseach. TV3 is live now on TV3+1, channel 110 and we're working on restoring normal service urgently. ^Cat
