Ireland have remind the world that they should host the 2023 World Cup.
Ireland are currently locked in a tussle with France and South Africa with regards to who will host the Rugby World Cup in 2023.
It would be incredible for Ireland to host a tournament of such magnitude and it would undoubtedly to wonders for the sport here, in addition to the inevitable economic and tourism benefits that such an event would bring.
Recently, France, who are considered to be Ireland’s main rivals to secure the honour of hosting the tournament, reminded everyone of their intentions when they hosted Scotland at the Stade De France in the last round of this year’s Six Nations championship.

It was inevitable that Ireland would respond in some way, as today they hosted their rivals in their first match in Dublin.
The Irish players had ‘#Ireland2023’ emblazoned on the front of their warm-up tops.
There was also a large display next to the halfway line which we have seen before during Ireland’s November Internationals.
The decision on who will host the tournament will be made by the end of the year and you can expect much more promotion over the coming months as Ireland look to secure the vital votes to ensure they emerge victorious.
