George North left out by Wales after head injury against England

Liam Williams comes in to replace him

Neil Treacy

After much debate in the last few days, Welah winger George North is going to have to wait another couple of weeks before he picks up his 50th test cap.

North has been left out of the matchday squad by Warren Gatland, after his double head-blow suffered in Friday night’s loss to England.

Despite the Welsh Rugby Union maintaining the he is showing no signs of concussion, they have made the decision to draft in Liam Williams and rest North, to avoid a further media frenzy.

It’s the only change made by Gatland for Sunday’s meeting with Scotland at Murrayfield, and it now means that North’s 50th test cap will more than likely come against France at the end of the month.

Here’s the team in full.
