Further misery heading England’s way after petulant reaction to World Cup exit

Insult added to injury after England’s World Cup humiliation.

We all remember Mike Brown’s truculent reaction to England’s defeat to Wales, last week.

The fullback snarled his way through 90 awkward seconds before ending with “Is that it?”

Last night, following their 33-13 defeat to Australia, England went two steps further… back.

Required to send 10 players out into the mixed zone, for media interviews, England offered up two – Tom Wood and Richard Wigglesworth.

According to the Sydney Morning Herald, a World Rugby representative on duty in the mixed zone confirmed that the matter would feature in his report.

The available sanction for such a dereliction of media duty is a fine.

That’s another hit to the host’s pocket after i100 reported, on Saturday, that an English exit would cost the local economy £3 billion.
