Former Connacht rugby player passes away after road accident in Australia

Kevin Moran tragically lost his life after a road accident in Australia on Friday.

The Mulranny native played underage and ‘A’ grade rugby for Connacht and was a key member of the westport Bulls side before he moved Down Under.

Reports on the passing Moran, who also played football for Achill Rovers, featured on Mayo News on Saturday.

Rovers have posted condolences to Moran on their Facebook page.

Achill Rovers would like to send our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Kevin Moran who tragically lost his life yesterday. Kevin was a former Achill Rovers player. Ar dheis dé go raibh a anam.
