Ireland’s weekend exploits are reaching far and wide it appears.
Not content with shaking up rugby’s world order with their convincing 29-15 victory over South Africa, Joe Schmidt, Paul O’Connell and co have found themselves on the pages of the New York Times this morning.
With the American media perhaps taking more of an interest in the sport following the All Blacks’ game in Chicago last week, Saturday’s Irish success filled a page lead in the Times’ sports section, under the headline: ‘Irish Savor Win Over A Southern Hemisphere Foe’.
