Sometimes a poor start is all it takes.

It wasn’t a good day for Irish rugby on Sunday as both Leinster and Munster left themselves in the Champions Cup doghouse after two costly defeats.

The southern province paid the price for a slow opening at Thomond Park when Clermont came at the red jerseys all guns blazing and Munster boss Ian Keatley admitted that his side struggled to get to grips with the French men in the early exchanges.
