All Blacks take a stand against brightly coloured boots at the World Cup

I’m sure the players enjoyed this dictat/suggestion.

Every member of the New Zealand squad will now sport completely black boots during the upcoming World Cup.

As part of their ‘Force of Black’ marketing campaign, adidas have designed completely black boots that each one of the New Zealand squad will wear during the tournament.

Dubbed ‘Blackout’, the boots have no colour splashes, three black stripes [on each side] and even black laces.

The German sports brand declare that the new footwear make a strong, powerful statement – just like the current world champions.

There are four different boot designs, to suit various positions across the field [ie; longer studs for the forwards].

So enthused by the final bit of sports marketing that he should endure in his pro rugby career, that Richie McCaw proclaimed, ‘You have more confidence knowing what you wear is going to help you perform on field.’

That’s right Rich, those fancy boots that you wore in your recent win over South Africa did nothing for you.
