He’s a lucky lad.
Pedro Piquet, the 17-year-old son of former Formula One champion Nelson, had a fortunate escape yesterday when he survived a horrific crash in a Porsche GT3 race in his native Brazil.
The young driver was propelled through the air in spectacular fashion after getting nudged by a rival in the race in Goiania.
He was taken to hospital where medics said he remained conscious, and Piquet later posted a photo of his facial injuries to social media, where he told fans he it was “a little scare, but I’m here. Thank you for all the support”.
