Sheamus tried to rekindle his feud with Irish UFC star Conor McGregor last night.
The ginger Irish wrestler stole the show at the WWE event in Dublin on Thursday night. After brogue-kicking compatriot Finn Balor and his opponent on the night Neville, Sheamus grabbed hold of the mic and took aim at another Irish fighter who was sitting in the crowd.
UFC welterweight Cathal Pendred was in attendance at the event and Sheamus made sure to acknowledge his presence, while also having a go at a certain UFC featherweight title contender.
“All of the false pretenders in the crowd like Cathal Pendred in the UFC and that little two-foot tall Conor McGregor… they are nothing compared to the Celtic Warrior.”
Pendred was not too pleased with Sheamus’ insult and proceeded to call out the wrestler on Twitter after the event.
Went to #WWEDublin tonight. @WWESheamus goes & calls me a "pretender". Call out to my gym while you're in Dublin, I'll show you pretending.

Soon after, SBG head coach John Kavanagh interjected to diffuse some of the tension.
@PendredMMA @WWESheamus shoulda hit him with a steel chair

This isn’t the first time Sheamus has clashed with Irish UFC fighters. He has butted heads with McGregor on Twitter before, and their social media feud will almost certainly start up again in the wake of Sheamus’ new comments.
