Barack Obama, get dialling!
Nick Diaz is now due an official response from the White House after the petition to get his five year ban overturned by the Nevada State Athletic Commission reached its target.
All signs pointed to the petition falling short of the 100,000 required but on Wednesday morning the five figures ticked over into six and now there must be an official response from the U.S.A.’s highest office.
Diaz received a five year suspension and was fined $165,000 by the NAC after testing positive for marijuana for the third time, a punishment which sent the MMA world into a frenzy as the penalty was almost universally considered to be far too severe.

The five year suspension would effectively have been a lifetime ban for the 32-year-old but Diaz’s fans have really made themselves heard in the past month and now Barry Obama has to get involved.
