WATCH: Joe Rogan is a huge fan of Conor McGregor’s trashtalking game-plan

"He really f***s with people's heads"

You’d be hard done by to find a man with better knowledge of fighters than Joe Rogan.

The UFC colour commentator has been calling fights for the promotion since 2002 so is well aware of fighters’ strengths and weaknesses.

And in relation to Conor McGregor’s upcoming title fight against UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo, Rogan gives a distinct mental advantage to the Irishman.

Speaking on his podcast recently, Rogan said:

“It’s going to be a very interesting fight. We’ve never seen McGregor in with anyone as remotely talented as Jose Aldo. That doesn’t mean he can’t win because everyone that McGregor has been in with, he’s steamrolled.

“He’s f**king good. He’s really confident and he really f***s with people’s heads. He’s so confident and so good at talking. There’s so much charisma about him that I think it’s intimidating for his opponents.

“And belief is an incredibly powerful thing. If you really, truly believe that you are the best and you say it, your opponents have to wonder because everyone questions themselves. Especially in the world of fighting.

“When you get in there with a guy like Conor McGregor (who says things like) ‘we’re not here to take part, we’re here to take over!’ you’re going to be like ‘f**k this guy’s overwhelming.’

“If you can put on a show like that… If you can put your peacock feathers up and puff up your back hairs, getting those bristles up nice and high like a cat when it’s angry and hunch your back up, there’s a reason that exists in nature.”
