Destroying Ronda Rousey won her the belt, but her tremendous attitude is winning Holly Holm a lot of fans.
Despite Rousey losing the plot at the weigh-ins, calling her a “fake ass cheap shotting fake respect fake humility bitch” and refusing to touch gloves before the fight, Holly Holm has showed nothing but respect towards her vanquished opponent.
The new women’s bantamweight queen spoke out against the disgusting abuse that internet trolls have fired at Rousey and why she always remains humble to TMZ Sports.
“I don’t want any of that (trolling) to happen. I do feel like I come from a little more humble spot, but that’s just because I don’t ever want to say “I’m this good” or “I’m that” and have something happen and look like a fool.”
Holm spoke very highly of Rousey as an athlete. She admitted having the utmost respect for former champion and talked up her impressive achievements in MMA.
“Ronda’s been a very dominant champ and she’s taken the sport to new levels, and this fight wouldn’t have happened if she hasn’t accomplished what she’s accomplished,”
“I have a lot of respect for her. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t want to give away any bit of my victory, so I’ll take it, I’ll take the win and I’ll take that I did it dominantly, but that doesn’t mean that I wish any harm on her and it doesn’t mean that I wish any hate on her.”
She closed her piece by reiterating his disapproval of the internet trolls’ actions.
“People can be pretty brutal and when you’re in the spot she’s in, there’s people who are just going to jump ship and I don’t ever wish for that.”
